These patents — issued on December 5, 2023 (Patent No. 11,837,349) and March 26, 2024 (Patent No. 11,942,206)—date back to the original filing on January 10, 2020, after a dedicated four-year process.
These patents represent a significant achievement for Dr. Mooves A&D and its pioneering work in cognitive skill development for children. The technology covered by the patents allows our app to create cognitive skills through movement and dance, offering a unique approach to addressing mental health challenges like anxiety and depression.
What makes these patents particularly significant is that they protect the first psychiatric app for children, driven by engaging and entertaining activities that prompt children to develop crucial cognitive skills. The system not only captures a child’s volumetric physical performance during dance but also adjusts dynamically to the child’s measured body domains and prescribes a next therapeutic dance to provide ongoing mental and physical health benefits.
The journey to secure these patents took four years of careful education and collaboration with the USPTO. Throughout this process, Dr. Mooves A&D demonstrated the uniqueness of its approach to children’s mental health — bringing together entertainment and therapeutic intervention in a way that had never been patented before.
